Washing Buffer
Application note
Washing Buffer based on TRIS
Product description
Composition: TRIS-based buffer with Tween and 350 mM NaCl 10x stock solution
pH-value: pH 7,2 ± 0,2
Preservative: contains 0.1% ProClin® 300
Storage: 10x stock solution: shelf life at –20 °C: 1 year, tolerates repeated freezing and thawing cycles
shelf life at 2 – 8 °C: 6 months Use working solution immediately!
For research use only, not for diagnostic use
Available package sizes:
500 ml order number 145 500
Instructions for use
Washing Buffer is useable for many immunoassays. Washing steps are needed to remove unbound and excessive components, which are able to interfere with the assay. Applications include ELISA, EIA, RIA, Western blotting, immuno-PCR, protein arrays and multianalyte immunoassays. It is suitable for automatic plate washers depending on salt tolerance of the washer.
Attention: Make sure that you have checked the specifications and instructions of your washer!
Crystals of salt can precipitate after storage at 2 – 8 °C or after freezing. Therefore Washing Buffer must be warmed up to room temperature and should be mixed thoroughly before preparing the working solution. This leads to dissolving of salt after shaking. Stock solution is diluted 1:10 with salt free water to get the working solution.
Use working dilution immediately.
Especially for use in immunohistochemistry we offer Washing Buffer without Tween or other detergents (Order No. 146 500).
