Instructions for use

Liquid Plate Sealer® is ready-to-use. Liquid Plate Sealer® is added to the ready coated microtiter plates, polystyrene beads, glass slides etc. Liquid Plate Sealer® generates a dense, but easily soluble layer onto the antibodies and antigens, which are immobilised on the solid phase. This protective layer stabilises coated molecules for long-term storage.

Liquid Plate Sealer® is used directly after blocking and washing. Liquid Plate Sealer® seals and stabilises coated proteins and antibodies. In the case of strong background problems we recommend using The Blocking Solution (order number 110 500) before sealing. This Blocking Solution is characterized by a higher blocking efficiency than most other known solutions.

After incubation of the microtiter plate or solid phase with Liquid Plate Sealer®, the plate can be stored directly under moist condition. After drying of the plate or solid phase the shelf life of the coated molecules is substantial expanded to typical 1 to 3 years when stored cool and dry.

The assay buffer or the specimen can be added directly onto the sealed plate (solid phase) for use in the assay. An additional washing step is not necessary.

Liquid Plate Sealer® is free of proteins.

Values for shelf life of sealed plates are guiding values. Even longer shelf lifes were observed, but this is not suitable for generalisation for all assays. Individual testing of the shelf life is recommended.
